Once an angler spot is reserved, all flight information will be provided by The Fly Box and Vista Patagonia to anglers to ensure that correct travel logistics are booked. Please contact us with more questions about booking flights.

To ensure that you have the best experience possible, we have arranged an additional night in Santiago, Chile on the front end of the trip. During your layover, dinner will be purchased by The Fly Box. This extra day will give you a chance to rest and recover from your travel.

This is important because it is necessary to have ample margin between your international and domestic flights. This layover time ensures a smooth transition and provides peace of mind in case of any unexpected delays or travel logistics.

Friday Jan 12th - Saturday, January 13th

Leave the United States on Friday and arrive in Santiago on the morning of Saturday 13th to spend layover. Take some time to relax, explore the vibrant city, and enjoy the local cuisine.

Sunday, January 14th

Depart from Santiago to Balmaceda then transfer to Vista Patagonia Lodge.

Monday, January 15th - Saturday, January 20th

Daily Fly Fishing Excursions: Each day, engage in guided fly fishing adventures led by Vista Patagonia professionals.

Sunday, January 21st

Departure from Vista Patagonia Lodge and arrive back in the U.S.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors that may arise during the expedition.

To secure your spot on this trip, we require a deposit of 50% ($2275) of the lodge cost. Please note that this deposit is due six months before the trip, by July 19th (first week) or July 26th, 2024. The remaining 50% will be due 90 days before departure for the week you have selected.

Pricing and Expenses:

The cost for this fly fishing trip is $4,550 (flights are not included), this covers lodging, guide services, all meals, and layover night in Santiago.

Gratuities Are Not Included

Please allocate approximately $600 per angler for gratuities over the course of the week:

$75 per day for your guide

$100 per week for the chef

$50 per week for the cleaning staff.

We have planned this trip to fit with a total estimated budget of $7,000 with airfare.

Typically, the cost of the trip is non-refundable unless suitable replacement guests are found by guests. While we will make diligent efforts to help fill any last-minute vacancies and secure alternative bookings for your reserved space, it can be extremely challenging to do so. As the fishing industry adheres to stringent cancellation and refund policies, it is of utmost importance to emphasize the necessity of obtaining travel insurance.
