TRIP OPTIONS

All levels of experience are welcome!

Our Tailwater guided trips are float-style adventures and fishing is done from a moving drift boat with 1-2 anglers in each boat. We float anywhere from 4-7 miles in a single day depending upon river conditions. Our friendly guides will do everything they can to make your adventure the best it can be.

The Fly Box is located 4 minutes from the South Holston River and a short drive from the Watauga. Where a guide trip takes place will be determined by your guide who works hard to stay up to date on the flows and which river is fishing the best!

CORPORATE TRIPS

We have the ability to host corporate events and trips. If you have questions about the size and needs of your group, give us a call!

SOUTH HOLSTON River

The South Holston River is a unique tailwater that is popular for Sulphur hatches and brown trout. Most fish range from 8-16”, but the South Holston is known to carry some extremely large browns. However, this can be an extremely technical fishery due to the picky fish and small flies needed to be successful. Your hard-working guide will get you in the game and provide you with a fun, educational adventure!

WATAUGA River

Watauga tailwater stems from Wilbur dam which generates a daily minimum recreation flow, meaning we love the Watauga because we can almost always fish it from drift boats. The Watauga is considered our "Western" style river due to the river’s gradient and big cliff walls. On a float-trip you will have the opportunity to catch both browns and rainbows generally 10-16”. Nymphing on the Watauga can be extremely productive all year; exceptional dry-fly and streamer fishing can be had at certain times of year.
